Did you know that the popular rhyme "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" is actually two-timing it under the name "The Eensy Weensy Spider" in the UK?
I didn't, until today. Why do you think this is? Was "itsy bitsy" too culturally tied to the land of manifest destiny and supersized burgers? Or did "eensy weensy" somehow call back the dark days of colonial subjugation and tea parties in Boston?
Sometimes, I just don't understand our linguistic differences.
